Paddle Imua 2013 : A tough paddle, but worth every stroke

Paddle Imua 2013 just happened and it was a phenomenal success. Congratulations to everyone who participated. I think we were all glad that the wind gods allowed us some trades before the Kona wind kicked in. The paddle was long and hard in the light winds, but I think we’ll all agree the cause was more than worth every stroke.

We’re still packing up at Bluesmiths, so we will post pictures and full stories shortly. In the meantime, full results are available here:  Results

Congratulations to division winners: Timothy LaraDane Ward, Livio Menalu , Andrea Moller, Travis Baptiste, Bernd Roediger, Karla Gilbert, Hogan Kania, Brit Oliphant.

Thanks to Imua Family Services, the Hawaiian Canoe Cub, all of the organizers and committee members, the timers, the ocean support crews, the volunteers and of the other sponsors for making this happen.

Huge thanks to the local and ocean sports communities for coming together in this unique way. We’re already looking forward to Paddle Imua 2014.

 Aloha and mahalo,

John & Bluesmiths
