Ever since her first downwind paddle off Maui's famed North Shore, Sonni wanted to compete in and win the Molokai to Oahu (M2O) world championships. They say you should "never give up on your dreams," and Sonni Hönscheid never did.
She's been training hard and waiting patiently for this moment. Commitment, drive and her incredible talent made it happen on Sunday, July 27th 2014 when she crossed the line first and was crowned the 2014 Molokai 2 Oahu Paddleboard World Champion.
